The highly ornate Ganesha Idol sparkled under flash lights...
The 'Mandap' was intricately decorated with flowers, garlands,
pooja saamagri, incense sticks and other paraphernalia ..
But what was totally outta place, was the audio system blaring
the latest 'Johnny Gaddaar' OST...
and the devotees ( now i doubt whether they really were..)
gyrating to the rhythm..
Next came 'Aapka Suroor' and other Himesh's chart busters...
My ears kept longing for 'Ganapati Bappa Moriya' songs..
but after 3 hrs of non stop music.. the mandap fell silent ....
And as it was already 1:00 AM at night, i too went to sleep....
Ganapati stood there, still with a smile on his face ...
